  • Jim Henderson
    Chief Executive Officer, Chairman

    Jim Henderson, AssuredPartners Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer, has served in this capacity since founding the company in March of 2011. Mr. Henderson has over 40 years of experience in the insurance brokerage industry. He began his career as a certified public accountant with Ernst & Ernst. For 10 years, he served as CFO and Executive Vice President with Ormond Reinsurance Group. From there, he spent 25 years with Brown & Brown, a publicly traded national insurance brokerage, progressing from CFO and Board Member, to Executive Vice President in 2009, President in 2001 and Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer from 2007 through his retirement in August of 2010.

    Jim has served on various public, private and non-profit boards, including Chairman of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Ironshore Insurance Co., Citizens Property Corporation, Hallmark Insurance Co., Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund, private equity portfolio companies, The CIAB, Ronald McDonald Homes and Stetson university Business School. He is a C.P.C.U, former C.P.A. and earned his B.S. degree from Florida State University in Accounting and Economics.

  • Tom Riley
    Chief Operating Officer, President

    Tom Riley, President and Chief Operating Officer of AssuredPartners, leads the growth and structure of the company’s operations since co-founding it in March of 2011. Tom began his career as a certified public accountant with Ernst & Young where he spent 8 years.  He later went on to spend more than 20 years with a publicly traded national insurance brokerage. With Tom’s over 30 years’ experience acquiring and building brokerage firms, he has been instrumental in over 175 acquisitions in just five years.

    Tom earned an M.B.A. and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Kentucky.

  • Paul Vredenburg
    Chief Acquisition Officer, EVP

    Chief Acquisition Officer and Executive Vice President Paul Vredenburg partnered with Jim Henderson and Tom Riley in 2011 to form AssuredPartners. Paul began his career with Ernst & Young, LLC, as a tax consultant, focusing on insurance and financial services before spending 11 years in the insurance brokerage industry at Brown & Brown, Inc., and Marsh Berry & Co. in various merger and acquisition roles.

    Paul holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame and is a Certified Public Accountant as well as an Accredited Advisor of Insurance.

  • Dean Curtis
    Chief Financial Officer, EVP

    Chief Financial Officer Dean Curtis joined AssuredPartners in January 2012. Dean began his career in 1994 at Arthur Andersen, LLP, a Chicago-based accounting firm, before joining MPS Group, Inc. in 1997. At MPS Group, Dean worked his way up from Director of SEC reporting to VP and Controller, then to Chief Accounting Officer. In his 14-year career at MPS, Dean coordinated more than 75 mergers and acquisitions and dispositions both domestically and internationally with a total value in excess of $1 billion. Also in his time at MPS Dean managed and led North American and European financial operations encompassing more than 200 employees, was responsible for all SEC reporting, including two secondary offerings and two spin-off IPOs, and led integration and consolidation of more than 50 accounting back offices servicing more than $750 million in revenue, resulting in over $40 million in annual savings.

    Dean earned B.S. degrees in Multinational Business Operations and Accounting from Florida State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

  • Eric Anderson
    EVP

    Eric Anderson joined AssuredPartners in March 2011 as one of the first five employees and serves as Executive Vice President. Eric has more than 30 years of insurance experience overseeing retail insurance agencies, building regions, identifying potential acquisitions and owning agencies.

    He has been involved in over 150 acquisitions during his career. Eric attended the University of Florida, where he played baseball on two Southeastern Conference championship teams.

  • Walter Smith
    Chief Claims Counsel

    Walter Smith joined AssuredPartners in February 2012, shortly after the acquisition of Dawson Companies. Walter’s legal career began in 1984 at Williams Mullen in Richmond, Virginia, where he was an associate working in corporate, acquisitions and tax law.

    In 1988, he joined a client of the firm as general counsel, then a $30 million insurance brokerage, Hilb, Rogal and Hamilton. In Walter’s 20-year career at HRH, he held various positions of increasing authority as general counsel, corporate secretary and chief compliance officer. During this period, HRH acquired and integrated hundreds of insurance agencies, moved from NASDAQ to the NYSE, and grew to become a top 10 broker with over $800 million in revenue at the time of sale to Willis. Walter holds B.A., J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Virginia.

  • Stan Kinnett II
    General Counsel, EVP & Corporate Secretary

    Stan Kinnett joined AssuredPartners at its inception in March 2011 and has worked with Company’s senior executives since 2008.  As General Counsel, Stan has chief responsibility for all aspects of the Company’s legal department, including oversight of Company’s legal process on acquisitions.  Stan began his legal career as a corporate attorney at Fowler White Boggs P.A., working primarily on corporate and securities matters and acquisitions for publicly-traded and privately-held businesses in a variety of industries.  He is a licensed property and casualty insurance agent in the state of Florida and holds a designation as an accredited adviser in insurance (AAI). He received his B.A. degree in International Relations, with honors, from Eckerd College and his J.D., with honors, from Stetson University College of Law.

  • Steve Deal
    Director of Sales, EVP

    Director of Sales Steve Deal joined AssuredPartners in April 2013. Steve has more than 40 years in the industry as a regional leader, agency president and producer. Steve dedicated nearly 25 years to the formation and building of Hilb Rogal & Hobbs (HRH) into one of the largest publicly traded brokers in the United States. While there, he led the largest retail region and participated in more than 20 HRH acquisitions. Steve attended Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.

  • Joe Guercio
    VP of Operations

    Joe Guercio joined AssuredPartners in April 2016 as Vice President of Operations, responsible for successfully integrating new agency acquisitions and achieving overall operating excellence throughout the existing platforms and offices for AssuredPartners. Joe graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.S. in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Florida and currently holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Accredited Advisor of Insurance (AAI) designations.

  • Ty Beba
    EVP, Chief Organic Growth Officer

    Kutay “Ty” Beba joined AssuredPartners in July 2016 as Executive Vice President and Chief Organic Growth Officer. In this capacity, Ty is responsible for enhancing the organic growth, recruitment of sales talent, and leadership . His role includes development of initiatives for the production team and the expansion our sales culture Nationally. In addition, he brings focus to the development and promotion of industry verticals, as well as specialty products expertise which exists throughout AssuredPartners.

    Ty is a graduate from the University of Colorado (Denver) with a degree in Business with concentration in Finance. He has earned the designations of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), and Associate in Claims (AIC), and holds Producer licenses in 36 states.

  • Tony Mattioli
    Chief Information Officer

    Chief Information Officer Tony Mattioli focuses on technology solutions and efficiencies throughout the company while making AssuredPartners a technology leader in the industry. With more than 35 years of experience in the property/casualty insurance business, Tony has held a number of senior executive positions, including former CIO at Marsh for the Risk and Insurance Services Group, and former President and co-founder of Dovetail Insurance (now part of Marsh). Tony began his career at Policy Management Systems Corporation where he spent 20 years in various software development, operations and sales positions in the U.S. and Europe. He brings a renewed sense of focus to the operation while maintaining an unsurpassed infrastructure with the most up-to-date technology. Tony is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a degree in economics.
