Solution
The Registered Nurse provided telephonic consultation to the client and communicated they should anticipate an on-site complaint survey related to this self-reported incident that would likely result in an immediate jeopardy (IJ) citation. Consultative services were provided focusing on an IJ Abatement Plan and guidance related to the additional action steps (i.e. visual observation of staff member until building exit, resident and staff interviews, immediate staff education) that would be necessary to abate the immediate jeopardy situation prior to the arrival of the State Agency.
