New Guidance Increases Fertility Benefit Options

The Gallagher team has recently released New Guidance Increases Fertility Benefits Options to help employers understand the latest updates impacting fertility benefits.

In October, the Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services and the Treasury issued guidance in FAQs Part 72. This guidance clarifies pathways for employers to provide fertility benefits outside the employer’s major medical plan.

Previously, employers offering fertility benefits that included medical care were required to do so through their medical plan or a medical plan carve-out.
