Our Louisville, KY office, Rice Insurance Services Center, became a part of AssuredPartners in 2021 and has specialized in state-mandated real estate E&O programs since 1989. We provide the group policies in 13 of the 15 states that have group programs and require real estate licensees to maintain insurance. Our insurance carrier has more than 50 years of experience in E&O programs, is rated A (Excellent) by A.M. Best, and is the top provider of real estate liability insurance, delivering more than 100 years of experience, industry knowledge, and financial strength to manage even the most complex risks.
We specialize in a variety of insurance protections, including:
Real Estate Licensee E&O Insurance - Licensees often think a claim will never be made against them. Unfortunately, anyone may be the victim of a frivolous lawsuit. We provide real estate E&O insurance in Alaska, Colorado, Iowa, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Wyoming.
Firm Excess Coverage - Firm excess policies provide additional limits of liability once coverage through the applicable underlying policy is exhausted. We offer excess policies with up to $1,000,000 limits to real estate firms whose licensees are all insured through our basic policies. Contact our team to request a firm excess policy application.
Tail Coverage / Extended Reporting Period - Licensees insured through one of RISC’s programs who do not renew their RISC insurance for any reason should consider obtaining tail coverage by purchasing an ERP endorsement. Our policies are claims-made-and-reported policies, which means they apply to claims that are both made and reported during the individual policy period or any applicable ERP.
Our duty to find coverage where the policy supports it is our utmost concern, and you can be confident that we will be here for you even after you purchase coverage. Most insurance providers use one entity to sell the policy and another to handle claims. Because we do both, the information we provide about the policy reflects how it will actually apply in the event of a claim. Allow us to help you with your coverage needs!
