A private college was facing pressure from a reduction in HR staff after employment cuts. With 130 employees requiring a significant amount of time and attention in choosing their health benefits, the client needed an organization that could act as a concierge service providing total administration of the retiree healthcare program.
The college moved to a defined contribution model implementing custom group options with three plan choices available to retirees. AssuredPartners worked with the plan administrator to handle all billing options for the retirees and act as a call center, working with each of the retirees to find the best plan for them.
The retirees were able to keep their existing providers, and they now had three price points to choose from. The client's HR burden was lifted, and they were able to deliver the same level of service to their retirees with limited disruption.
